Instructions for Ordering Photocopies
If you are looking at this page at the Courthouse (or
Courthouse Annex) please place your copy order by filling out a Copy Request
Form. Your copies will be made as soon as possible and you will be notified
when they are ready or, if you prefer, they will be mailed to you.
If you are looking at this page from a location remote
to the Courthouse (or Courthouse Annex) please place your copy order by
sending a request containing the following information:
Record Name
Collection
Date Ended / Recorded
ID
To:
Archivist
Fredericksburg Circuit Court
P.O. Box 359
Fredericksburg, VA 22404
Your request will be answered with a copy estimate (including
return postage). Please do not send money with your request.
When your estimate remittance has been received the copies
will be made and any difference between estimate and actual cost will be
billed.
Please be advised that many of the records are lengthy
and a copy of "all of the record" can be very expensive. It is recommended
that you request only copies of specific documents such as wills, deeds,
plats, etc.
Data extracted from records are classified as Remarks. A single Remark may be composed from the content of several documents within a
record. Requests for retreival of data shown in Remarks cannot be honored due to staffing limitations.
Thank you.
Sharron S. Mitchell, Clerk
Fredericksburg Circuit Court
